Developing and Maintaining a Quality Assurance and Improvement Programme

The International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing require Heads of Internal Audit to develop and maintain a quality assurance and improvement programme that covers all aspects of the internal audit activity.

Such a programme is designed to enable an evaluation of internal audit’s conformance with the IIA Professional Practices Framework. It also assesses efficiencies and effectiveness and identifies opportunities for improvement.The programme should include both internal and external assessments.

In this two day seminar, Gill Bolton works with internal audit departments to help them develop such a programme and also to help them to prepare for an external Quality Assurance review.
